🏔️ Important Travel Information – Please Read Before You Go

🛏️ Accommodation in Kedarnath

Due to the high altitude and remote location, deluxe facilities are not available in Kedarnath. Accommodations here are basic bed systems in dharamshalas or guesthouses—even in luxury packages. Your comfort is our priority, but expectations should be set accordingly.

🆔 Government ID Requirements

As per Government of India regulations, all Indian and foreign nationals must present valid photo ID at check-in. Acceptable IDs include:

• Passport with valid visa

• Voter ID

• Current Driver’s License

• Aadhaar Card

📌 Hotels reserve the right to deny check-in without valid identification. TravelMite is not liable for issues related to ID proof.

⏰ Check-In / Check-Out Timings

• Check-in: 2:00 PM

• Check-out: 11:00 AM

• Early check-in / late check-out may be chargeable unless included—please contact your hotel in advance.

🍽️ Meal Inclusions

Meals (if included) will be provided on a fixed or buffet menu basis. Any additional items beyond the standard offering will be charged extra.

• Meal credit policy may apply during low occupancy—charges over the limit to be paid directly.

• Room service and food packing may incur additional charges.

• Meals are typically North Indian thali-style in Chardham regions.

🍴 Meal Timings

• Breakfast: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

• Dinner: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  (Please confirm with the hotel upon check-in.)

🛌 Rooming & Extra Beds

• Extra beds may be rollaway beds or mattresses depending on the hotel.

• If you prefer a proper bed instead of a mattress, please inform us in advance.

❄️ Facilities in Hill Areas

• Most hotels in the Chardham region do not have A/C, lifts, or backup power

• Wi-Fi and heaters are usually chargeable and may not work reliably due to network/weather

• Hotels operate seasonally, so service levels may differ from those in cities like Haridwar or Rishikesh

🏨 Tip: Book early (especially in May–June and Oct–Nov) to get better-rated accommodations!

🚐 Transportation Notes

• A/C will not function in hilly areas or parked vehicles (beyond Dehradun/Rishikesh).

• Vehicles are permitted for travel within city limits and itinerary-based routes only.

• For additional sightseeing or off-route trips, please inform us in advance.

• Sightseeing points not covered will not be refunded.

🚗 Driver Guidelines

• Drivers won’t operate in no-entry zones, narrow roads, or post-sunset in certain areas for safety

• Normal driver duty is 12 hours per day—please request extra hours in advance

• If facing issues with the driver, contact us immediately

🛣️ Sightseeing Limitations

• Certain points like Trijuginarayan, Auli, Neelkanth Mahadev, Bhavishya Badri, etc., are off-route—let us know in advance if you'd like to include them

• No changes to route/destination without prior notice. Rate revisions may apply for amended plans

• Some tourist zones may restrict entry for large vehicles—alternative transport (at own cost) may be required

• Sightseeing areas may be a short walk from parking spots

🛠️ Vehicle Breakdowns

We aim to provide immediate replacement for major issues. Minor repairs may require short halts. Your patience and cooperation are appreciated.

🌧️ Force Majeure & Natural Events

No refunds or rescheduling in case of:

• Natural calamities (rain, landslides, snowfall, etc.)

• Government orders, political unrest, strikes, or roadblocks

• Health emergencies, transport issues, or technical faults

• Delays, itinerary changes, or trip truncation due to unforeseen circumstances

🎟️ Travel Vouchers may be issued (valid for 365 days) in case of full-trip cancellations due to unavoidable events—no cash refunds.

🛑 General Terms

• Company is not liable for injury, theft, loss, or death during the tour

• No refund for short stays or unused services

• Management reserves the right to cancel services if full payment is not received

• Jurisdiction lies with Kotdwara, Uttarakhand, India

• All rates are subject to change with fuel price fluctuations (5% and above)

• In rare cases, a similar vehicle may be provided if the booked car is unavailable

Cancelation policy

TravelMite: Cancellation, Refund & Liability Policy

1. Booking & Payment Terms

• Non-Refundable Commitment: All booking amounts and deposits are strictly non-refundable and interest-free.

• Finality of Confirmation: Once a booking is confirmed, it cannot be cancelled or modified. Full payment will be forfeited in the event of no-shows, voluntary changes, or early exits from the trip.

• Unused Services: No refunds shall be issued for missed tours, unused transport, or meals not availed by the client.

2. Batch Operations & Group Size

• Minimum Requirement: A minimum of 6 participants (Pax) is required for TravelMite to operate a batch independently.

• Operational Adjustment: If the minimum group size is not met, TravelMite reserves the right to merge/club participants with a verified local on-ground operator to ensure the trip proceeds. By booking, the client explicitly acknowledges and accepts this operational flexibility.

3. Cancellation Procedure

• Formal Request: Cancellations must be submitted in writing exclusively to info@travelmite.com by replying to the original booking confirmation email.

• Exclusions: No cancellation requests will be accepted via Phone, WhatsApp, or SMS.

4. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

• External Disruptions: TravelMite is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by government orders, harsh weather, protests, landslides, strikes, or any "Acts of God."

• Mid-Trip Abortions: If a trip is aborted midway due to natural calamities or external disruptions, no refund or credit will be provided.

• Extra Expenses: Any additional costs incurred due to natural or external disruptions (including but not limited to extended stays, medical emergencies, or alternative transport) are not covered by TravelMite or its partners and must be borne by the guest.

5. Natural Calamity & Voucher Policy

• Pre-Departure Cancellation: If a trip is cancelled by TravelMite before departure due to a natural calamity (earthquake, heavy snowfall, etc.) or unforeseen circumstances:

  • No cash refund will be issued.

  • A Travel Voucher for the full amount paid will be issued, valid for 365 days from the date of issuance (subject to availability).

• Activity Cancellations: Individual activities cancelled due to uncontrollable events are non-refundable.

6. Liability & Safety

• Personal Belongings: Guests are solely responsible for their luggage and belongings. TravelMite and its third-party partners (Hotels/Operators/Tree stays) are not accountable for missing or damaged items.

• Third-Party Liability: TravelMite is not liable for expenses or losses incurred due to the service standards or disruptions caused by third-party vendors.

• Mandatory Documentation: Guests must sign the Waiver of Liability, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk Agreement. For guests under 18 years, this undertaking must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

7. Cancellation & Refund:

• Cancellations must be made in writing to info@travelmite.com.
• Refunds are processed as per our Cancellation Policy.
