Begin your soul-stirring pilgrimage from the "Gateway to the Gods"—Haridwar. TravelMite invites you to experience the Do Dham Yatra, a sacred circuit that takes you to the two most revered shrines in the Garhwal Himalayas: Kedarnath, the abode of Lord Shiva, and Badrinath, the holy seat of Lord Vishnu.
Starting from the banks of the holy Ganga in Haridwar, our meticulously planned itinerary ensures that your focus remains on devotion while we handle the complexities of Himalayan travel.
Kedarnath (The Abode of Shiva): Situated at 11,755 ft near the head of the Mandakini River, Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Feel the divine energy as you trek through the majestic Kedar Valley toward the ancient stone temple.
Badrinath (The Vaikuntha of Earth): Nestled between the Nar and Narayan peaks, Badrinath Dham sits on the banks of the Alaknanda River. It is a place where spirituality meets breathtaking natural beauty.
The Haridwar Advantage: Starting your journey from Haridwar allows for proper acclimatization and a spiritual "cleansing" at Har Ki Pauri before you ascend into the high Himalayas.
At TravelMite, we understand that the Do Dham Yatra is more than just a tour; it is a once-in-a-lifetime calling.
Expert Local Coordination: From navigating the new Kedarnath route to securing comfortable stays in high-altitude zones.
Verified Transport: Experienced hill drivers and well-maintained vehicles for the winding mountain roads.

COO’s Note: "The journey from Haridwar to the heights of Kedar and Badri is a path of transformation. At TravelMite, our mission is to ensure that every pilgrim returns with a heart full of peace and memories that last a lifetime." — Rajat Devradi, COO
According to Hinduism the Pilgrimage tirthayatra , is one of the five duties of every Hindu, along with Dharma, Worship, Sanskaras and Observing religious festivals. A pilgrimage is an exercise in willpower, humility and faith, when the devotee travels to often difficult locations, leaving his problems at the feet of the Deity and forgetting everything but God.
A pilgrimage is an intimate experience, a direct connection between the seeker and the sacred. A devotee goes on pilgrimage to see holy men and women, to worship at holy shrines, to have darshan of Deities abiding in ancient sanctums. A pilgrim journeys to see God have a life-changing, bliss-engendering, karma-eradicating contact with the Divine.

After a soul-refreshing breakfast, we begin our drive toward the sacred Badrinath Temple, one of the most revered sites in the Char Dham circuit. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take a moment to breathe in the crisp mountain air of the Alaknanda Valley.
1. Spiritual Halt at Joshimath
As we drive down, we stop at the sacred town of Joshimath, the winter seat of Lord Badrinath.
Narsingh Devta Temple: We visit this ancient temple dedicated to the fourth avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that when the arm of the idol of Narsingh Devta finally falls off, the road to Badrinath will be closed forever, and the Lord will be worshipped at Bhavishya Badri.
2. The Ritual of Purification: Tapt Kund
Before entering the temple, we visit the Tapt Kund. This natural thermal spring is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River.
The Experience: Taking a dip in these holy hot waters is a traditional prerequisite for Darshan. It is believed that the waters possess medicinal properties and the power to purify the soul before you stand in the presence of the divine.
3. Darshan of Badri Vishal
Standing at an elevation of 3,300 meters (10,279 feet), the Badrinath Temple is a masterpiece of spiritual architecture dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
The Deity: Inside the sanctum, you will find the mesmerizing 1-meter-tall idol of Lord Vishnu, carved out of black stone (Saligram). The Lord is depicted in a meditative posture (Padmasana), unlike the reclining poses found elsewhere.
The History: The temple’s current form was established by the great Vedic scholar Adi Shankara in the 8th century, cementing Badrinath as a pillar of Sanatana Dharma.
The Legend: Ancient texts suggest that Lord Vishnu meditated here for thousands of years under a Badri (Jujube) tree, which gave the town its name.
4. An Evening of Devotion
As the sun dips behind the Neelkanth Peak, we participate in the Evening Aarti. The synchronization of Vedic chants, the ringing of temple bells, and the flickering lamps create an atmosphere of profound peace. We conclude the day with a comfortable overnight stay in Badrinath, allowing you to soak in the divine vibrations of the Dham.

Mana Village: The Last Village of India
Just 3km from Badrinath lies Mana Village, famously known as the "Last Village of India" before the Tibet border. This village is steeped in mythology and Himalayan culture.
The Return to Haridwar
After seeking blessings at Joshimath, we continue our picturesque drive along the Alaknanda and Ganga rivers.
1.Trekking Shoes- Shoes that are sturdy, have good grip, have ankle support, and can handle snow.
2. Rucksack & Day Bag pack - Make sure your backpack has good hip support, shoulder support, and quick access pockets.
A day bag pack will help you carry your tiffin box , water bottle and mobile while trekking.
Trolley Bags are Not Allowed
3. Clothes –
• Wearing layers is the mantra in the mountains. Layers give you maximum protection from all elements. You will need at least 5 warm layers (Insulin layers). You will need at least 1 pair of inner thermals, 2 light fleece layers, 1 light sweater, and 1 padded jacket. Ensure your padded jacket has a hood as well.
• A minimum of one pair and a maximum of two pairs of trek pants should suffice for this trek. Wear one pair and carry one just in case it rains/snows. Trek pants with zippered cut offs at the thighs are very suitable for treks. Also, choose quick-dry pants over cotton.

4.Mandatory Accessories:
1.Sunglasses- Sunglasses are to prevent snow blindness. A small overexposure to direct sunlight on snow can lead to snow blindness (about a half hour’s exposure). That’s because fallen snow is like thousands of mirrors that reflect direct UV rays. So you need sunglasses with UV protection.
Buying Tip: Try getting sunglasses that wrap around instead of those that have openings on the side. Even peripheral UV ray exposure is not a good idea.
2. Sun Cap
3. Synthetic Hand Gloves Get synthetic hand gloves that have waterproofing on the outside and a padded lining on the inside. If you find the combination difficult to get (not likely), wear a tight-fitting fleece hand glove inside a synthetic hand glove. Hand gloves are mandatory on this trek.
4. Woollen Cap - a woolen head cap that covers your head and ears is absolutely essential.
5.Socks - Apart from three to four pairs of sports socks, take a pair of woolen socks. Sports socks give you cushioning plus warmth. Again the mantra is to wear synthetic socks or at least a synthetic blend. Cotton socks soak in water and sweat. They are very hard to dry. As for woolen socks, they help you to keep warm and snug in the night. If you cannot get woolen socks, wearing two sports socks serves the purpose as well.
6.Power Bank ( Strongly recommended as the campsite runs on Solar energy hence is weather dependent)
7. Water bottle
Make sure you bring 2 water bottle & a thermal water bottle for hot water.
8. Medication (As per medical conditions if any and is subscribed by a doctor).
9. We are located in the middle of a wildlife Sanctuary so there are bound to be insects please try carrying an insect repellent if possible.
10.Extra cover for your electronic gear items/Valuables.
11. Quick Dry Towel/Towel
12. Torch/headlamp
13. A tiffin box with a spoon for packed lunch is Mandatory we try reduced usage of plastic/paper as much as possible .
14. Poncho/Raincover
15. Do not leave plastic wrappers(chips, chocolates etc) behind while on Trek and yes! don't forget your "Mask" ofcourse!
